HOW TO GET COPYRIGHT PROTECTION
Because copyright protection is usually obtained without formalities obtaining the evidence of by whom and when a work was created can sometimes be dif- ficult. However, in a case of dispute, being able to prove ownership can be a valuable tool to stop an infringement.
What you can do:
• Keep dated drafts, plans, outlines of the work;
• Keep written records of creation of material by agencies
and dated records of changes made
• Keep publications of the works (magazines, product catalogues,
print screens of websites) with the respective dates
In some countries copyright registration is possible and can be a valuable tool to provide evidence about our rights in an infringement case.
