SPLICES

            Soft eye splice

If you’re not planning to put a
shackle or a chain through the
end of the line, then a regular
‘soft’ eye splice will do nicely.
This is often used in running
            rigging on traditional yachts and
for mooring lines on vessels of
            all kinds.
