principal). The learners however are troublesome to a certain extent and being supported

              by  the  staff  helps  in  managing  bad  behavior  among  learners  in  and  outside  of  the

              classroom.


              The school offers isiZulu, Setswana and isiXhosa as home language subjects. Therefore
              the learners are not English first speakers which is why codeswitching is used in thus

              school. The clerks are very efficient and passionate about their work. They play a really
              important role for student teachers during their teaching practice. With them I was able to

              have access to the learning guide of my subject for each grade, the textbooks and the

              worksheets which I would occasionally need. It is Important to gain a relationship with
              them together with the teachers for the purposes of classroom tools and materials. The

              educators are supportive as well and possess an attitude of a united front. The school

              has  extra  mural  activities  such  as  netball,  soccer,  debate,  chess  and  mathematics
              Olympiad. There is staff meeting that occurs on Mondays in the morning at 7h30 and the

              school  sets  up  workshop  to  train  educators  on  working  with  smart  boards  computer
              systems.


              For the second WIL I went to the same school which is Tsakane Secondary School. The

              reason I chose to go back to the same school instead of changing schools is of the fact

              that I experienced a good working relationship  with my mentor, the teachers and the
              principal. It was a positive experience and I had a lot more to learn from the teachers and

              the staff. I had developed a good relationship with learners also hence I saw it as a good
              opportunity to do WIL at the same school considering my relationship with the learners.


              For WIL three I identified JE Secondary School situated in Tsakane Brakpan. This school

              is situated in the middle of houses and it is near a hospital called Pholosong Hospital and

              another secondary school on the front opposite street. The township around the school
              is a more developed township. The school's administration office is situated right in front

              of the gate and entrance. At the back of the office there are three blocks of the classes.

              The first two blocks are double story buildings and the last block at the far back contains
              classrooms which are containers and not buildings. The management staff is strict and
