Good Morning, Thank you for publishing my advert for the red Bay Window in the magazine, it looked great! Could you advise me on how to go about getting my current Bay valued please? It was valued by someone at the club about 10 years ago, so I feel it’s time for it to be redone for insurance.

Hi Ben, No problem for the advert, for sale and wanted ads are becoming a regular feature of Transporter Talk. As for valuations, unfortunately the club no longer o ers this service. However, self valuations can be done with some research. Using a scale system, try to rate your van from 1 to 5 on di erent areas such as engine, bodywork, wheels, interior etc. Once this is done, you will get an idea of your van’s overall condition. Then search websites and ads for vans of di ering conditions, making notes of their prices and details and then you can start to work out the value of your own van.
We are working with Just Kampers to provide a self valuation guide for our members, watch this space!

We are members of the club based in Ipswich and are looking to make the drive to Cornwall again this summer. Can you recommend any good campsites that are also campervan friendly?

Personally we have used several Caravan and Motorhome Club Sites (formerly Caravan Club) in the South West and we have always found them to be very friendly towards campervans. We are often getting sta and other guests take an interest in the camper and the facilities are always top notch. We have also heard good things about the Camping and Caravanning Club too.
Do any other members have any sites in Cornwall they want to recommend to Mark and Mary? Let us know by writing to us and we will forward your recommendations to them and publish them in the next magazine.
