Jesus says of “a truth” not of “a fact” because accord- ing to the fact the woman gave a small amount of money, but according to the “truth” (God’s word) it was the biggest offering in the treasury! She surpassed everyone who put more than she did. Sacrificial giving was the provoker! Her giving was engraved by the truth of God’s word. Her giving was for sure a sacrifice. It was her sacrificial giving that commanded the Lord’s attention! Do not go by facts; go by the truth you will never be stranded in life. God’s word is the truth. John 8:32 reminds us: “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free”. Your deliverance is right here! Deliverance is a function of the truth you are connected to in the Word of God. Uphold the truth (God’s word) and you will not be bound anymore or found stranded.
Until your sacrificial giving costs you something then it is not sacrificial. There is a cost behind every sacrifice. God delights in sacrificial deals with his own people. 2 Samuel 24:24 tells us again:
