Breaking the Spirit of Captivity
Captivity can be a spirit in this dispensation of time in which we live. I have seen many people who don’t want to go through what they are going through, and have no option, but to go through it. God doesn’t want you to be captivated by the issues of your life. However, if you lack his knowledge of what will happen, there is nothing he can do about it. Captivity is not good; it blocks and limits you from progress in life. You become unfruitful. Captivity is a product of lack of application of the knowledge of God’s word in your life. Once knowledge is there, people are enlightened and liberated so that they can’t be captivated by life, fear or the devil. Hosea 4:6 will help understand this truth:
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten
