APPLIED HEALTH o ers many services to help
The University of Waterloo
students succeed both
SCIENCES academically and socially. In
the Applied Health Sciences
(AHS) there are various clubs
UNDERGRADUATE that are marketed toward AHS
MEMBERS students that help engage and
build a strong community.
One of the services o ered to undergraduate AHS
students is the student society. The Applied Health
Sciences Undergraduate Members (AHSUM) is a group
of individuals that work to plan both academic and
social events exclusive to AHS undergraduate
students. These events range from exam destress days
which include therapy dogs to academic events that
engage professors and students. AHSUM events are
excellent opportunities to meet fellow AHS students in
di erent programs and terms.
Aside from events, AHSUM also provides an
exclusive study lounge located in BMH 1035 which is
open to AHS students 24/7 with a code on the locked
door. This is only one of the many perks of being an
active member in the AHS community. AHSUM also
provides various services that are available to
students including exam banks, discounted snacks,
stationary, textbooks, and board games.
AHSUM is also very inclusive as there are many
opportunities to join the team as a full executive or as
a junior member. The AHSUM team act as a friendly
liaison between students and faculty which is another
added bene t. Joining this student society helps
improve your organization skills while building your
social network between students and professors daily.
Applications to join as an executive and junior
member open the rst month of each semester as
there are always roles available! To learn more about
