The Board of Education regards the use of motor vehicles for travel to and from school by students as
an assumption of responsibility on the part of those students -- a responsibility in the care of
property, in the observation of safety rules, and in the display of courtesy and consideration toward
others – and an assumption of liability on the part of those students and their parent(s).
The Board shall not be responsible for motor vehicles which are lost, stolen, or damaged while on
school property.
VANDALISM
Students may be assessed the cost of repairing or replacing anything damaged. Also, the school may
prosecute students who participate in vandalism.

General Policy Statement
It is the policy of the Board of Education to maintain an education and work environment that is free
from all forms of unlawful harassment, including sexual harassment. This commitment applies to all
School District operations, programs, and activities. All students, administrators, teachers, staff, and
all other school personnel share responsibility for avoiding, discouraging, and reporting any form of
