Another highlight, as the visitor soon
discovers, are the white coral-sand beaches,
splendidly picturesque and often deserted.The
most interesting sights, however, are to be
found beneath the waves. Some of the most
spectacular coral growths in the world can be
found here - and the same boulders that scatter
the shores have turned the waters around the

How to get
Phang Nga Bay
Rent a car and drive early
from Muang Phang Nga to the
Surakul pier in Phang Nga, then
rent a longtail boat which will
take you there within 50
minutes.
Phang Nga Bay
Phang Nga is a province located north of Phuket, approximately 45-minute
by car. the real name of this rock formation is Koh Tapu, which means ‘Nail Island”, well
justified by the funny elongated and unbalanced shape. A tiny island next to it is where
dozens of longtail boats permanently disembark hordes of tourists for the usual.
The immense limestone cliffs standing everywhere in the bay are the main
attractions. You saw them in movies, even in Star Wars and James Bond. Phang Nga has
some landmarks, more or less attractive, but places are famous for a reason. The best
known is the intriguing ‘James Bond Island‘ famous for a movie that most people
nowadays haven’t even seen, called ‘The Man with the Golden Gun.
For a closer look, explore sea caves and their interior lagoons (known as
hong) by sea canoe and learn to love the beauty of nature.
