Eado Management District
What began as a marketing exercise in 2005
to brand the area east of downtown Houston
with a name that would herald its arrival has
caught on – much like the place itself. EaDo’s
area encompasses a triangle demarcated
by US 59, I-45 and the West Belt freight
rail line. EaDo is just a stone’s throw from
the George R. Brown Convention Center,
Discovery Green Park, Toyota Center, and
Minute Maid Park, and Home of the BBVA
Compass Stadium. It used to be an area of
railyards, warehouses industrial uses, but
is rapidly changing to become residential
and entertainment oriented, with great
transportation making up an excellent
walkable environment. The former home
of Houston’s Chinatown, EaDo still reflects
some of this heritage amongst all of the new
urban development. For more info please
