Employee Spotlight – Talik Kendrik-Bey
Mr. Talik Kendrik-Bey started his career with the Michigan DNR in 2012 at Milliken State Park. He began working in our facility the year before we opened our doors and is our most long standing employee.
Talik grew up in Detroit. Proudmom, Cheryl Fields is a single mother of four. She has worked hard
at numerous jobs t to provide for her children. Talik’s 4 siblings include: twin
brother Milik, Jermaine and Jason.
Talik works several jobs so his free time is limited. When he has time to recreate his choice would be to: Mr. Kendrick-Bey works several jobs so his free time is limited. His favorite outdoor activity is camping. His first camping experience was the result of a DNR/Healthy Kidz program. He goes every chance he gets.
When asked what he likes best about his job at the OAC he says, “I love working at the OAC because I love seeing the kids happy and the adult learning about how much Michigan has to offer
Talik has grown in his abilities and his roles at the OAC. Hestartedhelpingwithmaintenanceandcan clean any part of the building, set up any room and find almost anything in our very large facility – which is quite a feat. He can also work any area on our exhibit floor – often training new staff. Finally, he is part of our Front Desk Dream Team. He is accurate,
friendly and calm when the unexpected crops up.
He has grown from a shy young man to a confident and capable leader in this important area. He
makes a great first impression and provides our guests with a great start to their visit. .” His favorite memory is decorating the OAC with co-workers at Christmas time.
We see great things ahead for Mr. Talik Kendrick-Bey and we are proud to have him on our team!

Who Wore It Best?
The adventure buff (a head wrap that can be worn many different ways) is the signature souvenir for the Michigan DNR Outdoor Adventure Center. Submit a photo of you, members of your family or a whole group wearing the OAC buff. Each newsletter, we are going to select the best submissions and award prizes.
