From St. Charles to Milan, from Petoskey to Alpena, From Rogers City to Jackson, Michigan is fossil rich. Come see and hear about the animals that once inhabited these ancient seas 350 million years in the past. Hear about the giants of the Ice Age and what happened after the last Ice Age some 12,000 years ago.
PaleoJoe dresses the part of a "digger" – he is a real digger - and introduces animals, plants, and creatures that have been extinct for millions of years. His high-energy program brings life to these creatures of long ago

In celebration of Earth Science week, come learn about the fascinating geology of Michigan, from mineral mining in the UP to the shallow seas of the Michigan Basin. Observe some Michigan rock and mineral specimens, practice your mineral ID skills, and finally, make a stamp or cast of a Michigan fossil to take home with you!
