All of the materials you need you can find in your local craft store, I’ve listed
below the items I use in my Vision Boards and provide all this in the Workshops
I run. All you have to do is show up and start creating.
There is more to it than licking and sticking as you’ll find out when you read
through this. Doing a Vision Board this way will teach your mind what you
want to focus on in your life.
Materials needed are:
• Large blank pieces of card stock
• Colourful felt-tip pens (Specifically Purple, Red, Yellow, Pink, Silver,
Black, Blue, Grey and Green) You’ll see why later in this book.
• A pair of scissors
• Glue stick or double sided sticky pads
• A supply of colourful, beautiful, inspirational magazines (O, The Oprah
Magazine; National Geographic; and home and garden magazines are all
good.)
• You can even have glitter, stickers, feathers and anything else you may want
to put on your board.
• I like herbal or fruit tea to drink while I’m creating.
What is a Vision Board?
I find before I start designing my own Vision
Boards, I like to give myself time to meditate, to
clear my mind of things which are currently in
my life, so I’m thinking about nothing but the
here and now.
So as I mentioned before, a Vision Board, is
‘your’ vision, ‘your’ goals, what ‘you’ want to
create for your life – it’s not really about what
you want to ‘get’, but what do you want to have
in life. Some Vision Board Workshop Participants
Essentially, it’s your life by design. If it’s good enough for Oprah, Ellen and
Katy Perry, then it’s good enough for us, right?!
