CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Your personal interests should never interfere or appear to interfere with your loyalty to
GlobeNet. We expect your decisions to always take into account the best interests of
GlobeNet.
Conflicts can arise in many ways…
A conflict of interest arises when your personal interest or the interests of a third party interfere,
influence, or appear to interfere, with your ability to act in the best interests of GlobeNet.
As a GlobeNet team member you may be faced with a decision that is beneficial to you or someone
close to you, but not in GlobeNet’s best interest.
You may also be faced with a decision that is both beneficial to GlobeNet and to you.
What if... You are very close to
one of the biggest customers of
GlobeNet, who you will be
managing due to a change in
your role?
You should disclose your
relationship with the customer to
your line manager and HR/Legal
before accepting the offer to
determine whether the conflict
can be waived.
