Introduction




         Diversity management training workshop (4 hour workshop)


         Workplace diversity refers to the variety of differences between people in an organisation. A great deal of what brings
         us joy at work is being in a place with great people and enjoying strong relationships, where we are allowed to learn
         and grow in what we do.

         The following is an outline of what is covered in the training:


              Unpacking the meaning of diversity (Cultural, gender, and racial diversity)

              What are the diversity issues in your organisation?


              Exploring the layers of organisational diversity

              The benefits of diversity within an organisation

              Valuing   the diversity process


              Definitions of stereotypes and Unconscious Bias

              The development of stereotypes


              Manifestations and influence of stereotypes

              Practical methods of dealing with stereotypes


              Defining harassment

              Understanding the Harassment policy


              Identifying harassment, bullyinh, and micro-aggression in the workplace


         Workshop Outcomes:


         The following outcomes are desired for participants who complete the diversity management training workshop:

              To equip participants with the skills enabling them to effectively deal with diverse individuals & groups.

              Create awareness amongst participants in relation to the importance of diversity within organisations.

              Equip participants with the knowledge relating to appropriate & inappropriate behaviour when dealing with


                diverse groups.

              To enlighten participants with knowledge relating to stereotypes and methods to deal with stereotypes.
