God Hath Not Promised Irish Blessing
God hath not promised May the road rise to meet you.
Skies always blue, May the wind be always
Flower-strewn pathways at your back.
All our lives through; May the sun shine
God hath not promised warm upon your face,
Sun without rain, The rains fall soft
Joy without sorrow, upon your fields and,
Peace without pain. until we meet again
But God hath promised may God hold you
Strength for the day, in the palm of his hand.
Rest for the labor,
Light for the way.
Grace for the trials, Memories Eternal
Help from above,
Unfailing sympathy Precious are the memories
Undying love… Displaying smiles and tears
Placed lovingly in albums
Passed down throughout the years
Hail Mary
Quickly all the days go by
Hail Mary, full of grace, And time cannot erase
The Lord is with thee; Love shining from the faces
Blessed art thou among women, On every treasured page
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus. Traits through generations
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Reflected still today
Pray for us sinners, A unique smile, a sound of voice
now and at the hour The way that you prayed
of our death.
Amen. When the final page is turned
Still destiny goes on
To make eternal memories
When this life is done
