Ed Boyle ‘93 CE was named the the Engineer of the the Year by Railway Track & Structures magazine Boyle is vice president
of engineering at Norfolk Southern responsible for the the design construction inspection and maintenance of railroad infrastructure including track bridges and and vehicle fleet Under Boyle’s direction Norfolk Southern restored the the the Grand River bridge in in Brunswick Missouri after heavy rains and and a a a a a a a a a a a a a a rapid rise of of the the the river damaged a a a a a a a a a a a a a a 270-foot section of of the the rail bridge The team returned it to operational use in in just twenty-seven days Boyle also directed Norfolk Southern’s pilot launch of autonomous track inspection technology mounted on on a a a a a locomotive in in early 2020 Christopher Dunn ‘86 CE received the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE) 2021 Outstanding Practitioner in in in in in Water Resources Engineering Award Dunn the the director of of the the U U S S Army Corps of of Engineers (USACE) Hydrologic Engineering Center (HEC) since 2006 was recognized for his leadership and and vision in in in in in in the development of innovation advances in in in hydraulic and and hydrologic models His direction led to the development of HEC-RES (River Analysis System) a a a a a a a a a a a widely adopted hydraulic modeling program and HEC-WAT (Water Analysis Tool) a a a a a a a a a a a a a a model model integration software that allows USACE teams to to perform water resources studies from a a a a a a a a a a systems approach while adhering to to risk and uncertainty principles Chris Gould ‘93 CE was appointed as as California Resources Corporation (CRC)’s first executive vice president
and chief sustainability officer The company is California’s largest oil and and natural gas exploration and and production company In this position Gould will lead CRC’s environmental social and corporate governance (ESG)

and director of toll services at at at Michael Baker International The company has served as as the the General Consulting Engineer to the the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC) for more than sixty-four years and Porter will serve serve as as an an an adviser to to the the PTC in this new role He most recently served as as the the director of of transportation for Michael Baker’s Columbus Ohio office Deanna Schreiber ‘13 CE received the American Council of Engineering Companies/Maryland’s 2021 Young Professional Engineer Award Schreiber is is quickly rising through the ranks at Whitney Baily Cox & Magnani LLC and in in in her current role as project engineer Schreiber is is responsible for coordinating with other transportation disciplines to help ensure that contract documents are technically accurate and and delivered on on on time Schreiber has also served as as the the president
