QA is a San Francisco certified Micro-Local Business Enterprise (LBE) and Minority Owned Business Enterprise
(MBE); principals are of Mexican and Argentinian decent. QA’s ownership and staff composition reflects the
multicultural character of San Francisco. Diversity is part of our strength as an architecture firm and we are
represented by nearly every continent, and 8 different languages are spoken in our office. Firm-wide, minority
and women team members account for more than 50% of our personnel. QA benefits greatly from the
participation and leadership of women and ethnic minorities in our organization and on our projects. We do not

Since our inception in 1994, QA consistently provides mentoring and business opportunities for LBE/MBE/WBE
consultants, contractors, vendors and suppliers to work with us. We use the City’s Directory of LBEs as the main
source to find firms to collaborate with. In our role as LBE for the San Francisco Animal Care & Control project,
12 sub-consultants on our team are certified LBE’s. As Architect of Record and LBE lead team member for the
480,000 SF Uber Mission Bay Campus project, we interface regularly with OCII representatives for both contract
compliance and design review compliance. Our firm also employed two San Francisco State University student
interns as part of the City’s First Source Hiring program required by OCII for the Uber project.
