P. 5
Your inner dialogue that is ceaselessly chattering in your ear can be
either your greatest friend or your most insurmountable foe. It
depends on what your mental habits are. Some people seem to be
more naturally optimistic than others, while others can lean toward
the pessimistic world-view. But, when it comes to the way that you
talk to yourself, you can take control over how you perceive yourself
and how you choose to live your life. Why change?
If anyone has ever tried to fix how they talk to themselves, you know
how hard it can be. Over time, your persistent thoughts have created
certain pathways in your mind that make it very hard to believe
anything else. And, just like starting to eat healthy or get back into
shape, you will have to get out of your comfort zone and deal with
some pains and challenges that come with any kind of growth or
change. But, it is 100 percent worth the effort.
