Congratulations! You’re a plant parent! If you’re new to house plants, these are perfect. They absorb water through their leaves instead of their roots, so you don’t need to deal with soil. These plants thrive when misted 2-3 times a week with a spray bottle, or soaked in water for 15-30 minutes depending on the air in your environment once a week in the summer. In the colder months, your plant can go without a soak for around two weeks. Be sure to leave your plant outside of its container to dry fully before returning it to its home in order to avoid mold.
If your plant needs a watering, it will let you know! Its leaves will tend to curve inward if it’s getting dry.
Place your air plant in indirect sunlight, ideally by a window. Avoid putting directly in sunlight or near heaters/AC, as intense temperatures can damage the plant.
