                 Learn what is the role of guidance and counseling when choosing a Vocation/Profession





            Objectives of Discipline

                 Willing to accept of Rules, Regulations & Procedures of an organization
                 To develop a spirit of TOLERANCE & DESIRE to make adjustments.

                 To impart an element of certainty despite a lot of several indifferences in informal

                   behavior
                 To give & seek direction & responsibility

                 To increase Workers efficiency.
            Approaches to Discipline

                 Human Relations Approach - employee is helped to correct his/ her attitude

                 Group Discipline Approach - groups sets the standards and punishments to
                   individuals

                 Judicial Approach - on the basis of legality

                 Leadership Approach - superior administers the rules of discipline, guidelines and
                   trains them

                 Human Resources Approach - dealt by considering failure in the areas of

                   development, maintenance and utilization of human resources


            Developmental Stages in Discipline
            Stage 1: Recalcitrant Behavior

            The Power Stage: Might Makes Right!

            Students functioning at Stage 1, the lowest stage, are typically recalcitrant in their behavior. That
            is, they often refuse to follow directions. They are defiant and require a tremendous amount of
