5.4 Module-specific study plan
A comprehensive study plan will be provided to you in TL102 outlining what you need to study and when.
6 ASSESSMENT
6.1 Assignments
Assignments are seen as part of the learning material for this subject. As you do the assignment, study the reading texts, consult other resources, discuss the work with fellow students or tutors or do research, you are actively engaged in learning. The assignments for this module for each of the two semesters are provided at the end of the document under Appendix A.
6.2 General remarks
PLEASE NOTE: Enquiries about assignments (for example, whether or not the University has received your assignment or the date on which an assignment was returned to you) must be addressed to the assignment section at assign@unisa.ac.za. You might also find information on myUnisa. Do NOT contact lecturers regarding administrative issues to do with your assignments.
SAVE YOUR ASSIGNMENT IN (NON-PROTECTED) PDF FORMAT!
You must submit the assignment electronically via myUnisa. The assignment may not be submitted by fax or e-mail – they will NOT be accepted. For detailed information and requirements as far as assignments are concerned, see the brochure my studies @ Unisa that you received with your study material.
To submit an assignment via myUnisa:
• Go to myUnisa.
• Log in with your student number and password.
• Select the subject.
• Click on assignments in the left-hand menu.
• Click on the assignment number you want to submit.
• Follow the instructions on the screen.
PEMK029/101
Compulsory assignments
There is ONE compulsory assignment for this subject which is in the form of an essay question that you need to complete (the question may have one or more subsections). There is a non- negotiable submission deadline for this assignment and you must submit the assignment if you wish to gain entry to the examination! Also, your assignment mark will represent your year mark for this module.
PLEASE NOTE that your final exam/portfolio also gets submitted as an assignment – assignment 2. It is not actually an assignment, but it is the only way we can get the exam to be submitted and accepted on the myUnisa system technically. I know it is a bit confusing. Just know that there is one compulsory assignment and one exam/portfolio for this module (it is actually an exam, but once again, for technical reasons, it is referred to as a portfolio – more about the exam later).
