Crathorne & CRO
The 3 Peaks Challenge
Peter Llewellyn (General Manager), and Alan Robinson
th
(Head Chef) set out on Sunday 11 June to complete the
fantastic 3 Peaks Challenge in the Peak District in aid of
charity.
As you can see from the picture on the left, the weather
was typically British and Peter and Alan walked for 24
miles, taking 11 hours and using up 7,000 calories whilst
completing 60,000 steps with non-stop rain throughout.
Paths were rivers, the tops of the mountains had vertical
rain hammering into everybody’s face and both swore
there was at least a litre of water in each boot!
As you can see from the thumbs up, the well-
earned pint at the end went down a treat –
especially as by that point the rain had stopped.
It was a great endurance achievement by Peter &
Alan, so ‘well done’ from all the team at
Crathorne on raising some fantastic funds for
those in need.
Easter Chocolate Prize
We’re off to a great start this year with our SCC team
who have a host of events planned for the year. Back
at Easter time, we started with an Easter Egg Raffle.
The raffle was drawn on Easter Sunday and a huge well
done to Gloria, Assistant F&B Manager, who won a
fantastic basket of chocolate goodies..... along with the
prize everybody wanted, a fluffy chick!
