Central Support – Sevenoaks
Spring promotion
This two night break offer with Champagne, canapés and
dinner on the first night, was sold slightly differently from
last year, with the promotion running over three weeks
rather than three months. With a clear call to action and
tighter booking window, guests were incentivised to book,
and the daily conversion rate more than doubled as a result.
We have found that as well as securing early bookings, this
approach supports our strategy to increase average room
rate across the group.
Asset Team
The Asset team are busy working on a number of refurbishment projects throughout the
group, as well as day-to-day capital expenditure and on-going maintenance issues.
• Bedroom refurbishments at L’Horizon, Grand Jersey and Woodlands Park have
been completed.
• A new outside wedding gazebo has been installed at Audleys Wood.
• The tennis courts at Woodlands Park are being refurbished into a multi-use games
area (tennis, football and basketball).
• The Brasserie area at Norton has been upgraded and refurbished.
• 17 rooms have been converted to Zip & Link at Bailbrook to improve the versatility
of the bedrooms.
• Works commencing shortly include Phase two of the bedroom refurbishment at
Nutfield (17 rooms).
• Work to extend the bar in the Lounge at Rhinefield.
• Work on the Bensons Restaurant back bar at Woodlands Park to include the
introduction of a Charcuterie.
• Installation of air-conditioning to 8 bedrooms at Hendon will commence in
July/August as well.
• There is an on-going programme of works at Stanbrook Abbey including substantial
work on both the kitchens.
Finance Update
The final statutory company accounts were signed off by the external auditors this month
and these will become available online shortly. The Procure Wizard initiative became a
reality in May and thank you to those of you who trained with the Sevenoaks team for your
diligence during the training days. We have completed our first month with Procure Wizard
on board and although we have already learnt much about how to use this valuable tool,
there are other phases to follow in the coming months. In addition, we have been working
closer with our Fourth partners to help us gain more functionality from their systems to
enable us to work more efficiently.
