Wood Hall Hotel & Spa

               Pretty Muddy Harrogate

At Wood Hall, our Rise & Shine project has seen the team
get involved in a number of charity events over the years to

help improve our teamwork whilst helping others.

                                              This year is no different and Liz Whitehead, HR Coordinator;
Kim Armstrong, Spa Manager and Kayleigh Kavannagh, KP
have signed up to complete the ‘Pretty Muddy Harrogate’
experience together and are hoping a few more of the team
will join them on this fantastically muddy obstacle course to raise funds for cancer research.

Pretty Muddy isn’t like any other fundraising event. It’s a muddy obstacle course that
women of any ability can climb over, crawl under and charge through. You can choose from
5k or 10k events, but whatever the distance & however dirty everbody gets, what a fun way
to help a good cause. https://raceforlife.cancerresearchuk.org/about-our-events/pretty-

                                           “Bobby” the Badger…..

Small cuddly badgers are the order of the day at Wood Hall when our guests
wish to tell us ‘Do not Disturb’. Our guests love them and we specifically
decided to use cuddly badgers because there are Badger Sets local to the

                               Hotel…..

But we were all surprised when one night this week a young badger
managed to find its way into the Hotel. The badger was discovered by John,

one of our Night team and luckily “Bobby” was encouraged to leave quickly
and without any fuss. With so many people never getting to see a badger, it
was a rare, and wonderful sighting for the team on duty.
