1 Free Preventive Care
Preventive care benefits are covered at no cost to you. Preventive care can save your life by detecting
health problems early and reducing the risk of disease. It is recommended that you see your doctor for
a Wellness Check at least once per year. Your plan will cover your visit at 100% for In-Network Providers.
2 Use of Urgent Care Centers
Frequently, patients seek the services of the hospital emergency department for ailments or injuries that
could be treated just as effectively at an urgent care center. For conditions that aren’t life-threatening,
you may be able to save time and money by going to an urgent care center. Many urgent care centers
offer extended hours, can perform basic x-rays and lab work, and even dispense prescriptions.
3 Use of Generic and Over the Counter drugs
The best way to save on prescriptions is to use generic or over the counter medications versus brand
name drugs. When you use generic medications, you will pay the lowest copay, according to your
plan. In most cases, generic drugs must use the same active ingredients as the brand name version.
It must also meet the same quality and safety standards. Always consult with your physician to see
if there are generic options for your prescriptions.
4 Use of Mail Order Prescriptions
For maintenance medications, the mail order pharmacy is a fast, easy and convenient way to save
time and money. With the Mail order options, you can often order additional supplies of medication
