Wellness
Your well-being is important to Palomar Health. Palomar Health’s benefit programs offer a variety of services to help support your health and
well-being including a no-cost employee assistance program, discounts to fitness clubs, and health and wellness tools and resources on topics
such as nutrition, fitness, smoking cessation, weight loss, etc. To begin your journey of good health, Palomar Health has developed a path to
help you get there starting with taking your Personal Health Assessment (PHA). The PHA is confidential and gives you a personal starting point
to help focus on the areas most important to you and your family. Those who participate in the health assessment are also able to work one-
on-one with a health coach who can help address your needs and help you make positive changes. This health coaching is available free of
charge. For more information see below.
Wellness Discounts
You can receive discounts of 15 to 40 percent off suggested retail prices on more than 2,400 health and wellness products including vitamins,
herbal supplements, health-related books, fitness products and skin care items. Discounts of up to 25 percent off standard rates are available
on alternative care services from an extensive, credentialed network of chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists and dietitians - all of
whom you may visit directly, without a physician referral.

Best Health Wellness Program
Best Health is an integral part of Palomar Health’s Wellness for Life initiative. It is a comprehensive wellness program available to all Palomar
Health employees. Best Health provides you with a wealth of resources to reach your own unique wellness goals and is accessible online
through Sharp Health Plans Best Health website: pph.yourbesthealth.com.
Features:
• You can take an online Health Assessment to help you identify opportunities for improving your health, get a baseline for measuring your
progress, and access resources that are customized to your individual needs.
• You can choose from a variety of multi-week fitness plans, create your own custom exercise routine, or simply use the cardio log to track
your physical activities throughout the week.
• You can create customized meal plans with printable shopping lists, based on your nutritional needs and then track calories using your
personal food log.
• You can access articles and video clips to improve your overall well-being from the online health library.
• You can choose from a variety of wellness workshops on topics like nutrition, work/life balance or better managing a health condition.
Learn on your own time, at your own pace.
• You can work with a Best Health certified health coach who will support you in reaching and maintaining your health and wellness goals.
Best Health Coaching offers 6-week phone-based programs in five areas: weight management, smoking cessation, healthy eating,
physical activity, and stress management. Coaching is confidential and available at no cost.
