Cash in Lieu of Health Coverage*

Who doesn’t enjoy receiving money if you are enrolled Earn $1,200 per year if you or you and child(ren) are enrolled in a Palomar Health medical
in a medical plan outside of Palomar Health? Select plan without your spouse and your spouse is not an employee of Palomar Health. Spouse
“No Medical” when enrolling in your benefits and earn must be listed as a dependent in Lawson. Your marriage certificate, proof of spouse’s
$900 per year (proof of other coverage is required). medical coverage and a copy of the top portion of your most recent 1040 showing taxes
filed from the same address is required.
*For mid-year enrollees, contact your Benefits Representative for your pro-rated amount.
*You will only be entitled to one of the above waiver credits, not both.
Medical Plan Options
If medical coverage is needed, you have a choice of three medical plans to meet your needs -
the HDHP, HMO, and the Palomar Health Choice POS. Sharp Health Plan will administer all three
plans.
• Sharp Health Plan will be a single point of contact for items such as billing, identification
cards and customer service assistance.
• All value-added programs including Nurse Connection, Assist America, chiropractic and
acupuncture care, and the Best Health Wellness Program will apply to all three plans, the
HDHP, HMO and POS plans.
