Disability Insurance
If you’re unable to work due to a disability, our plans will work together to provide you with a source
of income. Disability insurance provides benefits that replace part of your lost income when you
become unable to work due to a covered injury or illness.
California State Disability
California State Disability (SDI) is a state-mandated program funded by California workers
that’s designed to replace part of your wages if you experience a short-term disability due
to a non-work-related illness, injury, pregnancy, or childbirth. SDI provides a benefit of
approximately 60%-70% of your pre-disability earnings (depending on your income) up to a
limit set by the state.
Visit the EDD website at www.edd.ca.gov for more information.
