WELLNESS INITIATIVE PROGRAM
Healthy eating, exercise and routine check-ups greatly reduce escalated medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and
other illnesses. Because we feel this is so important we offer the Wellness Initiatives Program. If you choose to participate in the
program, you will qualify for discounted monthly premiums on your Medical plan, and you will be invited to attend lunch and learn
seminars on nutrition and exercise.
By completing the Health Risk Assessment not only will you receive discounted monthly Medical premiums, the tool also helps you
uncover potential health risks and recommends positive steps to control your specific risks. You will answer questions related to
your health, family history and lifestyle. You will then receive a health score and reports that will help you identify your risks and
how to help prevent or reduce them.
Shepard Bros. also offers credit towards gym membership dues and proper nutrition programs. We also host lunch and learn semi-
nars held on-site and wellness brochures are included with our quarterly newsletters to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE-RESOURCE ADVISOR
Shepard Bros. offers a confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no charge to employees through Anthem. This plan pro-
vides you and your family members with up to 3 meetings and unlimited telephonic consultations for a wide range of emotional
health, family and work issues including marital / family / relationship, personal / emotional, psychological disorders, workplace
stress, and grief. Limited Legal and financial counseling is also included. The EAP also features online services to help you balance
work and life and take care of a variety of chores and challenges.
