You may purchase additional insurance from Cigna that will help to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses. These
policies offer direct-to-the-policyholder cash payouts to help you cover what other insurance doesn’t. The policies
available include Accident and Critical Illness. If elected, your premiums are paid through payroll deductions on an
after-tax basis. These Cigna policies are portable, which means that you can keep them should you change jobs or
retire, with no increase in premiums.

Cigna | Accident
Accidental injury coverage, offered by Cigna, provides a cash benefit if you suffer certain injuries, undergo specific
treatments, or incur other itemized expenses resulting from an accident. Cash payouts are available for initial and
emergency care, hospitalizations, fractures and dislocations, and follow-up care.

Cigna | Critical Illness
Cigna’s Critical Illness insurance can help you protect yourself and your family from the unexpected cost of fighting
a life-threatening illness. You’ll receive a lump-sum cash payment upon diagnosis of a covered condition such as
invasive cancer, a heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, paralysis, blindness, and more.

If you are no longer in your initial eligibility period, you may enroll in the Critical Illness insurance anytime during
the year as long as you provide proof of good health. To provide proof of good health, you will be asked to
complete a health questionnaire (Evidence of Insurability) and are subject to insurance carrier approval. Cigna may
approve or decline coverage based on a review of your health history.
