TOPIC: The Gene-Chain: A Customer-Centric Data Ownership Model

The science and practice of genomic research and medicine needs more data, and until now, the primary means of getting that data
has been through wholesale purchases from consumer testing companies who monopolize the data and do not share the profits
with their testing customers. The Gene-Chain, employing a blockchain and a cryptocurrency called DNA, is an emerging free-market
model, empowering customers with their genetic data files to share, sell them directly to researchers, and use the data in their health
care. This customer-centric model can be employed in numerous medical data use-cases, largely enabled by blockchain technologies.
