 Harrison Hall
Built by Henry Tazewell and Elizabeth (Lee) Harrison in 1843, this magnificent Italianate styled home is an exceptional piece of American History. The Harrisons contracted the Norris Brothers, a prolific local building firm known for their elaborate woodworking. The Norris Brothers are responsible for much of the look of 19th-century Leesburg. Harrison Hall was built further from the road than was customary for the time. This was done to utilize the space for a set of Survivor Boxwoods and Linden trees, most of which are still thriving and
blooming today. Interestingly enough, all of the bricks made to build the home were crafted on the property and one can even see fingerprints in some of the bricks today.
This tremendous house is comprised of original features including pine wood floors, crown moldings, windows, floor-to-ceiling pocket doors, twelve fireplaces, marble fireplace mantels, and a tiger wood maple staircase.
