The Master Bedroom: (top) Located on the second floor of the house, this is the only bedroom with an onsuite private bath.
The Lee Bedroom: (bottom left) Located adjacent to the Master Bedroom on the second floor is the bedroom where General Lee stayed (September 4, 1862) after being thrown from his horse and sustaining injuries to his wrists.
The Lookout Bedroom: (bottom right) This third-floor bedroom was once used as a lookout post by General Robert E. Lee. His lieutenants gained access to the roof through a hatch that they cut in the ceiling over the bedroom door to monitor Union and Confederate troop movement in and around Leesburg. This room is also the home of a Mammy’s bench, a federal, hickory piece, dating to 1840.
