Finding Support.
Many parents can find the
process of finding support
daunting and difficult out of
fear of being judged
harshly. Finding support is
process many people with a
mental illness go through.
There are services in your
local community that can
help.
Where can you go for support?
G.P. They are highly trained professionals that can
offer advice on how to manage your illness and help
you find other professionals.
Day-care or Kindergarten: They work with families all
the time and have a duty to provide the best possible
care to all children and families.
Community Health centre: Many places will offer
counselling services free of charge.
Support groups: Talking to people who are going
through the same thing as you can be very beneficial.
They can also offer advice based on their own
experiences.
