A window will display confirming that a link to your document has been shared with your colleagues. When they click the link, they will be able to view and edit the document from their desktops or mobile devices.
While working on a document using Word Online, you may need to access the full functionality of Microsoft Word. You can switch to the desktop version by clicking the EDIT IN WORD command from the ribbon in Word Online. This action will launch Microsoft Word and depending on how your device is set up, the system may ask you to enter your Office 365 username and password.
The sharing features mentioned in this section also apply to PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. Microsoft rolls out new integration features between SharePoint and the Microsoft Office suite, so don’t be surprised if one day you discover a new feature that wasn’t there before.
