“BY THE AUTHORITY VESTED IN ME BY THE SENATE AND THE COUNCIL OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES, I NOW CONFER UPON YOU THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF LAWS HONORIS CAUSA OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES.”
THE CHANCELLOR hands Dr. Donette St Monica Chin-Loy Chang her scroll and shakes her hand.
THE CHANCELLOR caps Dr. Donette St Monica Chin-Loy Chang.
Dr. Donette St Monica Chin-Loy Chang caps the Chancellor and returns to her seat.
The Guest Speaker’s Address
THE CHANCELLOR then invites Dr. Michael Anthony Holding to address the Company saying:
“I NOW INVITE DR. MICHAEL ANTHONY HOLDING TO ADDRESS THE COMPANY.”
Dr. Michael Anthony Holding addresses the Company and returns to his seat. THE CHANCELLOR invites the University Singers to perform saying:
“THE UNIVERSITY SINGERS WILL NOW PERFORM.”

THE UNIVERSITY REGISTRAR caps the Chancellor and says:
“CHANCELLOR, THE PERSONS WHOSE NAMES WILL BE CALLED, STUDIED IN THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES, AND HAVING FULFILLED THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES, BEG LEAVE TO BE PRESENTED TO YOU AND TO THE SENATE OF THE UNIVERSITY BY THE REPRESENTATIVES OF THEIR RESPECTIVE FACULTIES AS BACHELORS OF
