man", the restaurateur Erik Lundqvist, who was born on Feb. 9, 1834 and died as the manager of the Malmo liquor sales company, Jons Filsgatan n:r t, on Dec. 21, 1915: During his time, in accordance with the building council of Dec. 18, 1875, the cellar location was expanded with two rooms in the basement of the building at Adelgatan. This ex- pansion took place during the winter of 1876-1877 and was completed by the middle of March of that year. As a result, Consul Friis organized a large inauguration party in the expanded location on March 20, to which several of the city's leading men were invited: A total of 32 pe- ople attended, including four ladies, namely Consul's wife Laura Friis, born Barkman, Mrs. Erika Sophia Luttropp, born Malmquist, Misses Johanna Gustava Barkman and Anna Hedvig Hilma Luttropp, and among the gentlemen were the Mayor Olof Ahlstrom, the police chief Philip Wester, the councilmen A. R. Falkman and G. W. Dahlstrom, the hospital doctor Aug. Falck, the merchants brothers Wilh. and Gustav Luttropp, the merchants Anders Theodor Stahle and Frithiof (Fritz) Lorens Nordberg, the latter being the brother-in-law of the Luttropp brothers, the customs inspector Ludvig Berlin, the customs surveillance inspector Jons Boman-Persson and the engineer at the waterworks, the retired lieutenant Oskar Gerlach. For the gentlemen, the service took place in Tunneln, for the ladies in the Barkman's apartment above.
