The Equine Biosecurity Risk Calculator allows horse owners to calculate the associated risk with their current management practices. Biosecurity involves management practices that reduce the chances that infectious disease will be carried onto the farm by animals or people, and reduces the spread of infectious disease on farms. group with its 49,164 combined victory while increasing the number of total mounts by eight to 261,854.
According the Thoroughbred Time’s online Today, Jockey Frankie Dettori’s post-race actions following his win aboard Raven’s Pass in the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) are under review by track stewards working the Oak Tree at Santa Anita Park meeting, who could ne or suspend the European rider for throwing his whip in celebration.
It was the 6,450 win of Hawley’s illustrious career.
Dettori tossed his whip high into the air shortly after Raven’s Pass crossed the nish line.
A native of Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, Hawley rode for 31 years until his retirement on July 1, 1998.
The ne could be the second for Dettori, who was ned $500 on Saturday for failing to ful ll his riding engage- ments in the ninth race on the card. Dettori was scheduled to ride Master Daniel in the Damascus Stakes but booked off despite Stewards delaying the race for Detorri to participate in the trophy presentations and celebrations after the Classic. Tyler Baze picked up the mount aboard Master Daniel and nished ninth.
After apprenticing in Canada with 230 winners in 1969, he moved to the U.S. where he led all jockeys in victories in 1970, 1972, 1973 and 1976.
Hawley became the rst jockey to ever win 500 races
* 515 -- during a single year in 1973 when breaking Bill Shoemaker’s record. He earned the Eclipse Award in 1976 setting an all-time money winning record for a single year.
