The Jockey Club Reminds Foal Certi cate Managers to Sign Up for Interactive Registration Accounts
As the end of the year approaches, The Jockey Club reminds owners, breeders,
and agents who handle foal certi cates that an Interactive Registration (IR) account
is required for those who
manage and transfer digital foal certi cates. Starting with the 2018 foal crop, The Jockey Club Registry transitioned from hard copies of foal certi cates to digital copies.
Individuals can create their IR accounts at registry.jockeyclub. com.
Through the use of digital certi cates, users experience a host of bene ts:
· Users can access digital certi cates any time on computers and mobile devices.
· Owners and agents do not have to worry about losing or damaging certi cates.
· Operations are streamlined, whether in the racing
of ce, on the sales grounds, while transporting horses internationally, or when executing private transactions.
The registry expects that additional enhancements will
be introduced in the future
as various local and national racing entities incorporate their authentications to the certi cate.
IR can also be used to perform nearly all registry-related activities. The Jockey Club also reminds owners that the deadline for registering yearlings and 2-year-olds is December 31, 2018.
Contact The Jockey Club Registration Services at inquiries@jockeyclub.com or (859) 224-2700 with any questions.
The transition to digital foal certi cates was rst announced at the Round Table Conference on Matters Pertaining to Racing on August 14, 2016.
