The sculpture at the entrance to Cavalier Stable is a replica of Wookin Good. It was one of George’s granddaughters who inspired the name of the lly he purchased as a yearling after saying one day “My eyes are open and I’m wookin.”
Wookin Good won the 2000 Centre Stage Anne
Stakes at Fort Erie Race Track. Although Wookin Good was claimed twice in her last few career starts, George purchased her back for breeding.
As a mare she produced winners Wookin to Run and Wookinwicked both trained by Sid Attard.
Photo above left: A large indoor riding arena was added in 2010 and
is used mainly by boarders and quarter horse riding. There are also
5 paddocks and a large eld nestled by beautiful trees on the property. Photo left: George still rides occasionally and is pictured here on his quarter horse.
Photo above right: George frequents local antique auctions and proclaims that he is a collector of many things. Restored driving buggies, carts and an antique sleigh act as decoration inside his riding arena along with the many Cavalier Transport sponsorship posters.
