Jockey Corrine Andros recorded her  rst win back on opening day at Hastings, April 23, after taking two years off from riding. Read Tom Wolski article here
Her comeback win was aboard her favourite horse, Bullet, trained by Hall of Fame Conditioner Frank Barroby for owner Gary C. Johnson.
Bullet and Corrine have since come back to record a second place  nish this past weekend at Hastings.

The biggest crowd in years helped kick off Assiniboia’s 60th Season of Racing in 2017 on Mother’s Day, May 14. The featured race of the day was the Kalfaari Stakes which was won by the Rick Wise trained Deadly Black Eagle who he owns in partnership with Geri Gowdy.

Almost Every Race a Squeaker:
The number 4 horse Outlandos with Antonio Whitehall aboard got up late to catch Jack’sonaquest with jockey Christopher Husbands by a neck, setting up the most competitive opening card in memory with the total margin of victory by all seven winners being just over four lengths.
Outlandos is owned by Barry Arnason, Don Schnell & True North trained by Don Schell.
