Club Amarillo a Boarding Retreat for your.......Dogs
In an effort to supplement their family income Dana Mailhot started the Club Amarillo Dog Boarding kennel three years ago by converting the feed room of their horse barn into a kennel. The room was renovated, insulated and sound proofed and a temperature control system was installed. After a year, with the four kennels consistently booked Dana realized that she needed to expand and began renovations converting the two horse stalls along the one side of the barn into an area for 6 additional kennels and a contained feed and equipment room for the dogs.
Club Amarillo is located in Mulmur, Ontario near Mans eld Ski Club (close to both Orangeville and Collingwood) and is touted as A Boarding Retreat for your dog. Unlike kennels located in big cities, dogs are treated to a country lifestyle with boarding in open and airy kennels. “Dogs are social animals and like to be able to see the other dogs and people.” says Dana also noting that privacy kennels are available for those dogs that prefer not to be social. Leashed walks on the 5/8 mile (horse) training track and through the trails provide fresh country air and the dogs also have access to a large outdoor running area as well as an indoor arena for exercise and play no matter the weather. “I want the dogs to be playing and active as much as possible so when they do get back to their kennel they are happy and have enjoyed all the fun and exercise.” says Dana.
Each kennel also has a pull up door which provides access
to their own patio area used during the warmer weather days.

At Club Amarillo, the kennel area is divided into two separate rooms, each fully insulated with its own temperature control, to provide year round comfort for the various fur types of the dogs.
