when not at the sales she began riding ponies at the track.
Anne added ‘winning Thoroughbred owner’ to her resume in 1989 after claiming Salem’s Sugar Mony and winning a maiden claiming race under trainer Brian Corbett at Fort Erie Race Track.
Anne herself began training in 1990 and recorded her rst win as a trainer with Beacon Hall. Other earlier career winners included her own Sealed Cargo and the J. Wells owned Bally Bunion.
She enjoyed success with claiming horses including Bee’s Knees, who Anne would use to pony other horses in the morning and then run him in the afternoon.

In 1995 Anne moved her training operation to Woodbine Racetrack. Lady Merjo, owned by Anne
in partnership with her breeder Diplomat Stable, provided a great start at Woodbine with an early meet win. Other winners throughout the years include Signs of Glory, Celtic Craft and Irish Gambit.
Anne and Bob’s son, Don (born in 1982) joined his mum working at the track through his late teens and early 20’s and despite being praised for his work with horses he chose to seek a career outside of the horse business
Anne has always maintained a small but productive training stable at the track and at the farm and after 29 years in the Thoroughbred racehorse business not a lot has changed for the hard working couple.
With a stable of four at Woodbine in 2016 Anne continues to break yearlings while Bob looks after much of the farm duties. This year Anne trained for Bull Market Stable, as well as John Terdik, Peter DaCosta, Nicole Beaulieu and Darcy W. Scudero- Boulanger whose lly Crack That Whip recorded her second career win on October 21.
The Cameron’s continue to breed to sell or race and currently have 2 weanlings, 1 yearling and 3 two-year- olds (who started at the track but were brought home unraced) along with three rst time mares whose Ontario sired foals are due in 2017.
