Out of Town
There were some winners that The Game missed in the past issues that we would like to mention.
November 25 at Thistledown in Cleveland, Ohio, trainer Chris Jolan and Owner Soldiers at Heart Racing had two winners. Plum Tree and Out at Home were both winners at $6700.
February 9 at Charles Town Races in West Virginia, Highly Appealing won a
$26,000 Claiming Race by numerous lengths for trainer Graham Davis who owns the horse with his mother Muriel Davis.

Here are the Canadian Connections who had wins this month:
The highlight of the month was Mark Casse’s win with the Ontario bred, Sealy Hill
in the G3, $150,000 Bourbonette Breeders’ Cup Stakes for three-year-old fillies on March 24 at Turfway Park in Kentucky. Jockey Patrick Husbands was aboard the Melnyk Racing Stables owned Sealy Hill, who drew clear in the stretch then hung on for the win by a head over the late closing Panty Raid.
Aqueduct - Jamaica, New York:
Jockey Chantal Sutherland will be returning to Woodbine with two more wins under her belt at Aqueduct. She had two
maiden claiming wins totalling $40,000.
Beulah Park - Grove City, Ohio:
Fort Erie based Jockey Clint Magera had seven wins totalling $28,400 (average $4000 per win) throughout the month.
Michael Newell was listed as the owner of Rocket Chic winner of a $4000 claiming purse with trainer Rodney Faulkner.
Charles Town Race & Slots - Charles Town, West Virginia: Owner Harvey Tenenbaum had a
win with Mindy’s Peak for a claiming purse of $22,000 under trainer Julian Canet. Ontario bred Stopthefilibuster was a winner for $10,000 purse and was claimed from owner Robert Cole Jr. for $4000.
Delta Downs - Vinton Louisiana:
Jockey Jeffery Burmingham had six wins from February 28 to March 22 totalling $123,050. He also made the journey to the Fair Grounds worth while with a win for $34,000 on March 18.
Fair Grounds Race Course - New Orleans, Louisiana:
Jockey Emma-Jayne Wilson had
three wins for US based trainers totalling $75,500 in purse money. She was also aboard for a few wins for Canadian connections: Get Rich Quick for $46,500 MSW on the turf on March 2; Lien On Me for Allowance $48,000 on March 10 both for trainer Malcolm Pierce and owner Live Oak Plantation; Hammering Henry for $46,500 MSW on March 3 for trainer Mike Mareina and owner Kuehne Racing; Kelvington for Claiming purse $41,500 on March 8 for trainer Josie Carroll and owners James and Alice Sapara; and Her Excellency for Allowance $47,500 on March 11 for trainer Mark Frostad and owner Sam- Son Farms.
Trainer Mike Mareina had his sec- ond win of the month on March 8 with What Attitude for $19,500 maiden claiming. The filly was claimed out of the race from owner Ernest Kuehne for $12,500.
Trainer Josie Carroll had an addi- tional two wins with Liquid Silver for Allowance $50,000on March 11 for owner Valene Farms; and Tale of the
Devil for Allowance $48,500 also on March 11 for owner Tall Oaks Farm.
Trainer Malcolm Pierce and owner Pin Oak Stud had another win on March 12 with Idle Rumor for Allowance $49,500.
Trainer Mark Frostad and owner Sam Son Farms recorded a win for $58,500 MSW on March 15 with Quiet Jungle after first place finisher New York Dixie was disquali- fied and placed third for drifting in. Sail From Seattle was also a winner of $58,500 MSW on March 23.
Gulfstream Park - Hollywood, Florida:
Jockey Robert Landry had to thank Calendar Girl for providing him with a win on February 26 for $21,000 Maiden Claiming.
Trainer Jonathan Sheppard was the conditioner of the $150,000 G2 Forward Gal Stakes winner Forever Together for owner Augustin Stable on March 10.
Trainer David Bell had a winner on March 12 with Royal Magenta for $44,000 MSW, owner Richard Shaw.
Owner/Trainer Frank Passero Jr. was the winner of the third race on March 12 for $21,000 claiming with Chilham Castle.
Little Everglades Steeplechase -
Dade City, Florida:
Ontario bred 9-year-old gelding,
Summersville, was the winner of a two and one eighth mile hurdle on March 11 for a $15,000 purse. The owner is Anne Haynes with the trainer Bruce haynes.
Mountaineer Race Track -
Chester, West Virginia:
Trainer Don MacRae had three winners
this month. The first with Kannapolis on February 26 for $11,900 claiming purse for owner Uri Fishman; next was his own Bold Delivery on March 6 for $11,200 claiming; followed by Shaknduzabodygood on March 12 for Maiden Claiming $14,500 for owner Ed Walton.
Trainer Mike Newell had three winners two of which were with the gelding Valcas who won on March 2 for Maiden Claiming $14,500 for owner Frank Russo and came back for another win for $10,400 claiming on March 20. Mike’s own Saucy Vinny was a winner of March 13 for Claiming $10,800.
Trainer Leslie Frost and Jockey Robert King Jr. teamed up for a trio of wins. The first was Leslie’s own horse, Bada Bam Bada Boom on March 6 for $11,200 claiming. Fortune Maker was a winner March 9 for $16,200 claiming with Leslie as the owner. He had another winner that day for owner Albert Sanges with Lover’s Star for $10,800 claiming (Josue Arce in the irons). Albert was also the winning owner for Filly Idol’s win on March 19 for $11,900 claiming.
Oaklawn - Hot Springs, Arkansas:
Manitoba based jockey, Travis Hightower, who finished off the 2006 season at Woodbine, had a win on March 16 for Maiden Claiming $13,000.
