HUMAN BARRIERS – refers to people being used in
                                 providing  a  guarding  system  or  by the  nature  of
                                 their  employment  and  location,  fulfill  security
                                 functions. Examples are guards, office personnel,
                                 shop workers, etc.

                              HUMAN  ECOLOGY  THEORY  –  is  the  study  of  the
                                 interrelationship of people and their environment,
                                 a way of looking at the interactions of humans with
                                 their     environments         and     considering       this
                                 relationship as a system. It maintains that crime is
                                 a function of social change that occurs along with
                                 environmental change. It also maintains that the
                                 isolation, segregation, competition, conflict, social
                                 contract, interaction and social hierarchy of people
                                 are the major influences of criminal behavior and
                                 crimes.

                              HUMAN  INTELLIGENCE (HUMINT)  –  is  the
                                 collection of information from human sources. The
                                 collection may be done openly or it may be done
                                 through clandestine or covert means.


                              HUMAN MADE HAZARDS  – are hazards which are
                                 the result of a state of mind, attitude, weaknesses
                                 or character traits of one or more persons. They
                                 can be acts of commission or omission, both overt
                                 and covert, which can disrupt operation of a plant
                                 or installation.


                              HUMAN SKILL – the ability to work well with other
                                 people. It emerges as a spirit of trust, enthusiasm
                                 and     genuine       involvement       in    interpersonal
                                 relationships.  The  skill  essential  in  networking
                                 activities.
