SECRECY DISCIPLINE – the discipline needed for

security of troop movement including handling
tactical measures in combat area.
SECRET MATTERS – information and material, the
unauthorized disclosure of which would endanger
national security, cause serious injury to the
interest or prestige of the nation or of any
governmental activity or would be of great
advantage to a foreign nation.
SECTION – functional unit within a division that is
necessary for specialization.
SECTOR – an area containing two or more beats,
routes, or posts.
SECULAR LAWS – are laws advocated by Christian
philosophers who recognizes the need for justice,
such as St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas.

SECURING SANCTUARY – a practice during the 13
century where by a criminal could avoid
punishment by claiming refugee in a church.
SECURITY – a state or condition of being secured;
there is freedom from fear, harm, danger, loss,
destruction or damages. Basically, it was the action
of man against man that led to many unsecured
and unsafe conditions. Reasons could be economic,
revenge, or just plain greed and avarice. Whatever
the motives, the civilized man needs adequate
protection.
