STEP 4 To double the knot, bring the running end around the back to
the original start and follow the same pattern, staying next to the cord
you are doubling without crossing over it.
When you tie the Turk’s Head, you are braiding in a circle, so it helps
to rotate it toward you as you proceed.
ROPE GROMMET
To make the Rope Grommet, use a single strand of natural fiber rope
that has been unlayed but retains its spiral shape. Use a length about
three and a half times the circumference of the Grommet you want to
make.
STEP 1 Make a circle out of the center section, and start wrapping one
of the ends just as you would start a Multiple Overhand Knot.
