Lloyds – we
believe in role
models
As Lloyds Banking Group’s Executive Co-Sponsor for Ethnicity,
it gives me great pleasure to introduce this year’s edition of the
Powerlist.
Inclusion and diversity are important to me, both professionally and
personally. I’m committed to our goal to ensure the Group reflects
the communities and society we operate in. By creating an inclusive
culture where all colleagues feel welcome, valued and able to
succeed, we are in a far stronger position to support our customers.
Ultimately this will help us to help Britain prosper.
Research and listening sessions still indicate that some individuals
from ethnic minority backgrounds feel disadvantaged and that their
ability to progress is somehow hindered. I believe we all have a part
to play in changing that.
Role models are critical in helping people believe that they too can
succeed, and the high achievers profiled in the 2018 Powerlist will no
doubt provide inspiration to our future leaders.
I’m proud that Lloyds Banking Group are once again celebrating the
successes of Britain’s most influential black men and women through
our partnership with the Powerlist, and I offer my congratulations to
everyone on this year’s list.
