EY – powered
by different
perspectives
According to the Parker Review, which published its final report
this month, FTSE boards “do not reflect the ethnic diversity of
the UK”.
The Review Committee, which was advised by EY, found that just
8% of UK board directors are from a non-white ethnic group. That
is despite the fact that 14% of the UK’s total population is Black
Minority Ethnic (BME) and by 2030, that figure is expected to be
closer to 20%.
At EY we are powered by different perspectives. We work hard
within our own firm, and with other organisations, to welcome
discussion and promote action on improving the representation of
ethnic minorities in UK business, at all levels.
In order to remain competitive in a global market, it is vital that all
businesses – including our own – develop a pipeline of top talent and
draw on the widest spectrum of views.
EY is proud to support the Powerlist, which we have done since its
inception in 2006.
By sharing our own experiences, and supporting successful and
inspirational BME role models, we can help to drive change.
